  1. Love that picture of Otto von Unicorn, um, I mean Bismark.

I always wondered what the spike on the helmet was for, so I found the wikipedia article on Pickelhaube. The only use noted in the article was to hold a horsehair plume, though that was a Russian practice.

So which university, school of economics or model is OvB supposed to represent?

  2. I didn't realise we'd actually banned econ blogging in Europe. I thought it was just frowned upon, culturally. Enjoy your trip.

Austerity and other German housewife duties like making the floor clean enough to eat from are obviously an obstacle to any blogging.

Silly Germans, Austerity makes less sense than eating from the floor when it comes to bigger economies than your household.

    1. The Austrians are easy to subdue - it's the verdammte Prussians that are the real problem. Them and those verkackte Austerians.

After the European Commission banned the internet in the name of "harsh but necessary austerity," Noah scratched his head in wonderment at the sheer lunacy of the entire gott-forsaken shambles.
